Training in Person

Face to face, or in person, training can happen in either a group or individual setting. The first step in either progra is the initial speech analysis. This helps me identify the sounds that will make the most impact on your ability to be understood. After the speech analysis, we decide on the program that best fits your needs and schedule.

During in-person meetings, you learn how to recognize and reproduce the sounds of spoken American English, as well as learning about American intonation and non-verbal communication skills. You retrain your voice to be better understood. Your conversational and presentation skills improve, and you gain increased self-confidence as a result.

In addition, you are expected to practice on your own for at least thirty minutes per day. At the end of the course, you can expect at least a 50% improvement in your ability to be understood.

Individual classes are offered for people who feel more comfortable in a one-on-one setting. You receive individualized attention and a shorter, more focused weekly meeting. Some clients also prefer the discretion afforded in individual sessions.

Group classes are made up of no more than five clients, and group members do not need to share the same language background to participate. Many people prefer learning in a community, and group classes are a great way to meet new people.
